Late Summer Tidy Up
The community gardeners have been working hard this month pruning and cutting back the unsightly growth in all the flower beds. Over the next two months further planting will take place to make the beds both attractive and manageable. On this note, please do come along on the first Saturday of the month and do your bit to help maintain the flower beds in our area. We probably all walk pass them everyday and take them for granted. But a little effort by all goes a long way.
Many thanks to everyone who made the summer fete on Sunday (26th) such a success
A big thank-you to everyone who baked cakes, nurtured plants, entertained us, gave donations and played a part in putting on a lovely event once again
But the biggest thanks go to neighbours and friends who came out and supported the event and helped to raise over £750 for the PGRA funds. This money will go towards ongoing initiatives that improve the look and feel of our area and ensure it continues to be a pleasant place to live and work
The video below is a snapshot of the day. Some photographs can also be viewed in the gallery section.
Thanks again to all
Good to see many new and familiar faces at our annual Carol Singing on Wednesday 9th.
We raised £155 for Crisis at Christmas. Thanks to all who helped out and contributed to a successful evening

You may have noticed our lovely new gardening signs that we have erected on both the beds at Crescent Road and those in Albert Road/Crescent Rise. Recognition of all the hard work
Thanks to everyone who came along to the PGRA AGM on 10th November. This proved to be a productive evening and a number of issues were addressed. Click here for the full minutes of the meeting.
Haringey in Bloom Award
We were over the moon to hear that the flower beds that we have been maintaining and nurturing over the last 3 years won an award at the 2015 Haringey in Bloom awards. We were awarded Runner Up for best Neighbourhood Improvement. Big congratulations to all the community gardening volunteers.
On the gardening front we have also been awarded a grant of £420 from the Haringey Open Spaces Small Grants scheme. This money will be put towards gardening tools, compost and plants over the next year
