Summer Fete, June 2019
Many thanks to everyone who came along and made the 2019 Summer Fete such a success last weekend
The sun eventually shone and a thoroughly good time was had by all
Thanks to all those who helped out with the planning and preparation and the many who gave up their time on the day to be on the stalls, entertain us or simply to lend a hand
We raised over £700 which will all be spent in the local area and across our community
There is a video of the day below and further photo's in the 'Gallery' section of the website.
Crescent Mews Development, May 2019
Some of you may / may not be aware of the Major Development that is planned for Crescent Mews, N22
Plans have been submitted for a series of 3 & 4-storey blocks behind Sweet Tree Bakery comprising of 30 residential units
This is a high density, over development in an area that is already stretched regarding parking provision, accessibility and general well being of the local community. Furthermore, with such a large development it would appear the consultation process has not been carried out in a balanced and appropriate manner. Many residents are completely in the dark that this could be happening on their doorstep
We have also learned that the proposed properties are already being touted on property websites such as Zoopla.
If you wish to pass comment on the development then please click on the link to the Haringey Planning Portal and submit your thoughts and concerns by clicking on the ‘Comment on Application’ button
The deadline for comments and objections is JUNE12th
Crescent Road Hardware Store, April 2019
Unfortunately, after extensive campaigning to prevent developers building on the yard adjacent to ‘Dave’ the green light was given by Haringey Council to build on the land. Thank you to everyone who submitted objections, attended meetings and voiced their concerns. We are investigating what our next steps should be and what, if any, means we have to get the decision overturned.
Monthly Community Gardening, May 2019
The flower beds on The Triangle and Crescent Rise are currently looking spectacular. This is all down to the hard work of the monthly gardening group who turn up in all weather on the first Saturday of the month.
AGM - October 2018
Our AGM took place on Tuesday 30th October. Thanks to everyone who came along and contributed to the discussion. The minutes of the meeting are uploaded to the website homepage
Rockery Day a Roaring Success
What a day we had. Many thanks to everyone who turned out and helped transform the last patch of weeds at the Crescent Rise flower beds into a rockery fit for the future.
A big thank you to 'Alfie Bines Gardens' who helped us dig to victory and directed us all on the day. Cheers.
Great day. Great fun. Great community effort. Well done everybody. The photos say it all.
On the gardening front we have also been awarded a grant of £420 from the Haringey Open Spaces Small Grants scheme. This money will be put towards gardening tools, compost and plants over the next year
